"What you seek, Will seek You" - Rumi
This famous proverb from Rumi is so true when it comes to my career and profession. I always wanted to be in a space of creativity, a profession where you have an opportunity to create a dream into reality. Missed by a whisker to be an Architect as I didn't take up an aptitude test. The next closest profession was Civil Engineering and I grabbed the opportunity with both hands and completed my graduation in 2006.
My only goal was to have my startup and for that, I had given myself a decade to prepare before I could plunge.
During all 4 years of my graduation, I was always a curious and proactive student-focussed more on design subjects, building materials, and surveying. I was eager to work and wanted to put all my learnings into work. To my luck, I landed a job in a construction company even before my final year results were out.
I was placed as Engineer – Technical Services a position that supports projects in procurement and billing. This was a dream job and I was truly blessed as my company CEO was young and energetic always wanted to support encourage young talented professionals.
